KAto Kaelin
america's most famous houseguest
This is one of those times where I had an idea for a photoshoot, before I had even met the client. With the dawn of the 30th anniversary of the OJ Simpson murder trial in January 2025, it occurred to me that Kato would probably be doing quite a lot of press and appearances, of which, I'm sure he was going to need some premium photos for. I approached him with my idea, and he was all in. Figured we could get some related photos, as well as other photos he can use for his podcast, appearances, and the many other things this man has going on!
The one image I was determined to get, was a photo of the key to the very guesthouse he lived in at OJ's Rockingham mansion. This key has never been photographed before, so I just had to be the first. I wanted something simple, but dramatic (as I often do). And must say, I think we accomplished it.
The studio was sweltering at 94 degrees, but Kato never complained—though I certainly did! His energy and creativity made for a really successful shoot, capturing a plethora of images that I hope can get extensive use from. He was also accompanied by his wife, who just passed her realtor's exam, so figured, may as well knock out her headshots for that too! That's called a "double-whammy" in the business.
Having fun is always the bottom line, and this shoot certainly accomplished that. It's been great keeping in touch with him since, he's great people and am excited to see his many successes that are headed his way.
